One of the assailants, who was identified as Riyaz, went after Kanhaiya Lal with a sharp-edged weapon while the other recorded the wrongdoing on his cell phone, police said.

Soon later, they flowed a video of themselves confessing to the killing on social media. The assailants even took steps to kill PM Narendra Modi and BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in similar fashion. “Inshallaah, we our machet will arrive at Narendra Modi and Nupur Sharma as well”.

Following the homicide, nearby markets in the space were shut as the traders requested that the accused be arrested.

Boss Minister Ashok Gehlot has sentenced the episode and appealed to individuals to keep up with harmony while assuring strict punishment for those associated with the homicide.

It has now arisen that the moderately aged casualty was hacked to death for supporting presently suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma in a social media post over her controversial remarks on Prophet Muhammed.

As the news spread, the police reached the spot and started its investigation into the homicide.

Police sources said that the plot to kill this man was chalked out some 10 days ago. In the mean time, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to individuals to keep up with harmony.

“I censure the heinous homicide in Udaipur. Strict move will be made against every one of those engaged with the wrongdoing and the police will go to the lower part of the case. I appeal to every one of the parties to keep up with harmony. Strictest punishment will be given to those engaged with such a heinous wrongdoing,” he said.

The state government has sent additional support to Udaipur and briefly suspended the internet providers for the following 24 hours considering the occurrence.

The shops in Hathipol, Ghantaghar, Ashwani Bazar, Dehli Gate and Maldas Street in Udaipur have pulled down their shutters in protest against the episode.

The body of the casualty was still lying outside the shop till the hour of recording this report. The relatives of the deceased have requested Rs 50 lakh and an administration work as compensation.

In the interim, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has appealed to individuals to keep up with harmony.

District Collector Tara Chand Meena and SP Manoj Chaudhary also reached the spot in the wake of getting the news of the gruesome homicide.

Choudhary said that move will be initiated against the culprits. Asked about the threats got by the person in question, the SP said that all records connected with the deceased are being investigated.

Kanhaiya had even filed a protest for threats
